Having established the importance of Antioxidants, I must state that there are many types . Some are quite commonly known while others are not
๐ช๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ถ๐๐๐:
๐ฏ ๐ฝ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ช which is found in many fruit and vegetables like Bell peppers ๐ซ( tatashe ) , Citrus , Kiwi. They neutralise free radicals . It prevents damage to our cell walls . I get mine from fruit and veg and powders of some fruits that arenโt common like Acai berries , Rosehip , Amla , Camu camu . These contain the full natural vitamin C
๐ฏ ๐ฝ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ฌ a fat soluble vitamin thatโs made up of 8 components. Can be found in nuts , seeds and leafy vegetables. They protect our cell membranes from oxidative damage
๐ฏ ๐ฉ๐๐๐-๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ a pre-cursor of Vitamin A. It can be found in orange , yellow and green fruit and vegetables . It acts as an antioxidant when itโs uncovered to vitamin A
๐ฏ ๐บ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ is a mineral and can be found in Brazil nuts , seafood and whole grains. It protects the cell membranes. Eating 2-4 a day will provide the right dose
Selenium and Vitamin E work together in partnership
๐ฏ ๐๐๐๐ is a mineral which prevents fat oxidation . It also helps proper maintenance of vitamin E . Itโs the ๐ฎ๐จ๐ป๐ฌ๐ฒ๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ท๐ฌ๐น of Immune function . So do you know your zinc levels
